In an attempt to revive Monte Carlo's performance image, Chevrolet adds a supercharged SS version for 2004. The LS gets new 17-inch aluminum wheels, and there are a couple new appearance packages, Sport and Winner's Circle, available on the LS and non-supercharged SS.

• Spacious interior, low sticker price, strong acceleration with supercharged V6.

• Mediocre performance on non-supercharged models, bland interior with cheap materials, no passenger side-impact airbag.

  I had to replace my 94 old cutless supreme and I lived the styling of this car. It is very similiar to my olds in styling (actually better).

  I had a 1998,1999, and 2000 Mercedes C class. This SS outdoes them all. Better ride, more comfortable, and its American!

  This car has really suprised me. The gas mileage is excellent. I get an average of 400 miles to the tank. It cost me between $30 & $35 to fill up depending on the price of gas. The most it costed was about $45. It holds 15 gallons if that helps. The car is extremely comfortable and very sporty. Men love it!! So I highly recommend it to single women.

  Although many car magazines analysis of this car are harsh, I feal as though thi sis an excellent car. I have had for eight months now and have had no problem. The fuel economy is great (26mpg avg.) and the ride is quite compliant. This car isnt the fastest car on the block, but it is a joy to own.

  I turned 100,000 on my 1997 Monte Carlo with no plan to sell. But I learned about the incentives, went out to get a Grand Prix and came home with a Gray Metallic 2004 Monte Carlo. Its an SS where the previous one was an LS - 25% percent more powerful. This car has 4- wheel disk brakes with ABS. I live in Michigan and really noticed the difference on ice and snow as my previous car (which I loved) had rear drum brakes. The stereo is awesome. Im thrilled with the car, my last one made it to 92,000 without repairs and then needed a right front ball joint. Anyone from Michigan knows about the condition of our roads in the winter.

  For the money, the looks and performance of this vehicle are great. This is undoubltedly the nicest car that I have ever owned. It has all the toys including the heated seats, onstar, and auto start function. While its not as powerful as the turbo its also not as pricey either. I fell in love with the look of the car, classy yet sporty. My all time love is my 66 GTO but its not a practical daily driver. This car has it all!!!!

  I bought my LS almost 3 years ago and it has performed well. Good performance, Very dependable, and fun to drive. The only major repair I had was to replace a wheel after striking a curb I didnt see, so thats not the fault of the car. In fact Im getting ready to trade it for a 2007 because I liked it so much.

  Traded a 2000 Pontaic GTP for this vehicle. Performance and ride similiar, but this has the bigger interior and trunk and turns alot of heads. Price was literally thousands less than other performance vehicles looked at. i dont feel much if anything was sacrificed by going with this. Exceptional fit and finish and I was impressed with the interior contrary to other comments. Sound system pumps out extremely well.

  since we bought our monte me and the old lady fight over who gets to drive it everyday. we say excellent car and keep making them for as long as you can

  Monte Crlo is a great car. It has the looks, feel and quality. A total package car.
